That's why AmigaOS file notification would be useful
here:
1:Your program asks the OS to be notified when a file
(say ENV:mynotifyfile) is modified.
2:InetD (or whatever) starts a program that modifies
the file.
3:The OS sends a message to your program telling it
the
file has been changed.
(3) only happens if you did (1) before (2) happens.
(File notification is part of AmigaOS 2.04+ I think)
