  41. That's why AmigaOS file notification would be useful
  42. here:

  44. 1:Your program asks the OS to be notified when a file
  45. (say ENV:mynotifyfile) is modified.

  47. 2:InetD (or whatever) starts a program that modifies
  48. the file.

  50. 3:The OS sends a message to your program telling it

  52. file has been changed.

  54. (3) only happens if you did (1) before (2) happens.
